Lebanese Idosyncracies 4 – Taghyib

Some political concepts are unmistakenably Lebanese, and that of the “taghyib” is most probably the most interesting one. Taghyib signifies “the process of being made absent” and derives from “ghayaba” = to make absent (to denie the presence of a person, to refuse to acknowledge that he was actually there).
